The Ouseburn Open Studios banner is finally up. Just a few more days left till I open my Studio Gallery at 59 Lime Street.

If you're brave enough to go out in the rain, and swim with the fishes, you're more than welcome to take some shelter at my 59 Lime Street Studio Gallery. I'll be open from 11am - 4.30pm today, thanks.

Good luck to the runners today at the Great South Run.  I hope the wind is kind, it was crazy windy, the year I was down in Portsmouth, watching the event, getting ideas for this painting. 
​I shall be sitting for most of the day.

​This Sunday, Newcastle Brewing Ltd., will have its official launch at my 59 Lime Street Studio Gallery. It just so happens that the team behind Newcastles newest microbrewery are my father-in-law and brother-in-law. And you may have noticed they're using my images for their beer bottles. Mike and Leo will be in my studio gallery, selling their core range of IPA's and Pale Ales. Come down and celebrate their official launch, find out how it all started, and what plans they ha...ve for the future. perhaps take some beer away with you.

I'm donating this painting to the Art Takeaway for Refugees, an art auction in aid of refugees coming to the North East of England. Many North East artists have donated work to this worthy cause. All the artwork will be auctioned off on 3rd October, at Ernest

Can't believe it's been 10 years since I was commissioned to paint the triptych for the Great North Run, and somehow got roped into running as well.

Finishing off a few paintings for the 21st Birthday exhibition at the Old Courthouse Gallery, in the Lake District. Here are the two paintings, Return to Ambleside and Ambleside Rooftops. The exhibition begins on the 12th September (I think, will have to double check).

​Back in the gallery, at 59 Lime Street, after a well needed week off in Bamburgh. So if you missed me last week, and wanted to see my selection of paintings and prints, I shall be in the gallery for the rest of the week, from 10am - 4pm. Thanks.

I'll be away from my 59 Lime Street Gallery from tomorrow, Saturday 22nd August - Saturday 29th August. My Gallery is officially Open! If you're in the Ouseburn area, pop in to 59 Lime Street, and see some of my latest paintings and prints. Including the Angel of the North, which I've almost finished.

​With just over a week to go, till my gallery studio officially opens, I'm just putting the finishing touches to a few new paintings. Here's the latest painting, Kielder Observatory. A continuation from the Starry Tyne series, but paying closer attention to the constellations, given the astronomical location.

​The window signage is up at my new studio gallery, in the Ouseburn.

I'll be taking part at the Jesmond Dene Art Market tomorrow, and the event will be celebrating it's 1st birthday. Unfortunately, it will probably be the last market I do, as my following Saturdays will be busy running my new gallery at 59 Lime Street, in the Ouseburn.
